CPAFY2024-0002: Comprehensive Plan Amendment. The purpose of the amendments is to update the Fire District’s capital improvement plan in compliance with Idaho Code Section 67-8208 as the basis of the enactment by the City Council of the City of Garden City of the Fire District’s development impact fees for the Fire District pursuant to an intergovernmental agreement pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-8204A. Additional changes will include adding city adopted plans by reference and graphical and formatting changes.

CPAFY2024-0003 Extensions amending sections of Garden City Code 8-6A General Provisions and 8-6A-8 Expiration of Approvals: The purpose of the amendment is to make substantive changes to the availability of extensions for application approvals and delegate more of the extension-granting oversight to the Development Services Department.

CPAFY2024-0004 Buffers: Ordinance 1050-24;The purpose of the amendment is to refine current code’s provisions for buffers between uses, zoning districts, and the Boise River.  Matters that are addressed include height, densities, setbacks, landscaping, fencing, structural design standards, and lighting. This amendment will create a new R-M residential medium density zoning district; and amends the allowed uses and definition of the R-3 zoning district. Purpose of the Proposed Amendment

The purpose of the amendment is to clarify if there is an objection to the Planning Official's decision if the City Council will hear the application as a de novo public hearing, or an appeal that is not de novo.  The proposal also includes the proposal to delete: GCC 8-6B-3.F as it is a conflicting provision.  Finally, the proposed amendment intends on merging code and the public hearing procedures.
