We want to make you aware of a scam currently circulating that is falsely using the City’s name and logo to trick individuals into making payments or sharing financial information. These messages often appear legitimate — they may come from email addresses similar to official Garden City accounts and may even seem to be signed by Council Members or City staff.
Just to let you know, the City will never request payment or sensitive information through email links for wire transfers.
If you receive any email that seems suspicious or unexpected, do not click on any links or provide any information. Instead, contact us directly using the phone number listed on our official City website to verify its authenticity.
Your awareness helps protect both you and our community from fraud.
