Hefty ReNew (Orange Bag) Program Discontinuation
Hefty announced the ReNew (Orange Bag) Program will end June 30, 2027. Hefty has been unable to identify durable end markets for the low-quality plastics identified in this program.
We appreciate everyone in Garden City who participated in this program and encourage all residents to reduce plastic packaging in their daily lives.
The following recyclables can be placed in your blue recycling cart:
Rigid Plastics - #1, 2, and 5
Flattened Cardboard
Mixed Paper (newspaper, magazines, junk mail, dry food boxes with liners removed, office paper, etc.)
Metal Cans (steel, tin, Aluminum)
