Mayor Bill Jacobs Shares Statement on the Loss of Nampa Mayor Rick Hogaboam

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of City of Nampa, Idaho - Municipal Government, Rick Hogaboam - Nampa Mayor. His leadership and dedication to his community made a lasting impact across the Treasure Valley.

Bill Jacobs, Garden City Mayor, shared the following statement:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mayor Rick Hogaboam. Rick was a good man—strong in his faith, devoted to his family, and deeply committed to his community.

I had the privilege of being with him at our meeting last night, which makes this loss feel especially close. As a fellow mayor, I always appreciated his perspective and the way he approached the challenges we all face. He cared deeply about getting things right for the people he served.

This is a real loss for his family, for the City of Nampa, and for those of us who had the chance to work alongside him in the Treasure Valley Partnership.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the Nampa community."
