Greenbelt Stewards needed!

🌳 Become a Greenbelt Steward! 🌳

Do you enjoy our beautiful Greenbelt and want to help keep it safe, attractive, and welcoming for everyone?

We're forming a team of volunteer Greenbelt Stewards to assist with quarterly Greenbelt maintenance projects. Our focus will be removing dead, broken, and hanging branches, collecting branch piles left along the trail, and helping keep the Greenbelt looking its best.

What we'll do:
✅ Remove dead and hazardous branches from the Greenbelt
✅ Gather branch piles for City removal
✅ Help improve visibility and safety along the pathway
✅ Promote stewardship of one of our community's most valued amenities

What we won't do:
❌ Provide cleanup services for private property
❌ Remove homeowner-trimmed trees, branches, or debris left for pickup

Volunteers will wear safety vests while working, helping increase visibility and encourage awareness among trail users and commuters.

Volunteer workdays will be planned approximately once each quarter.

We already have a dedicated Volunteer Captain ready to lead the effort—now we need Stewards to join the team!

Interested in helping? Come to our informational session on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6- 7 PM in the Council Chambers or call 208-472-2949. Cookies will be served.

Together, we can keep our Greenbelt healthy, safe, and beautiful for everyone.
