Building Permits require 10-15 working days to review, any Re-submittals required will restart the review clock at time of submittal. Commercial building permits with structural reviews take at least 21 days to complete.
Please remember, the above time frames are estimates and apply to first-time reviews. Re-submittals extend the given time frame. For commercial permits, Fire Department reviews are concurrent with Garden City Public Works reviews. North Ada County Fire and Rescue is a separate entity from Garden City and has different time frames for review than the City, which may in some cases make the review time up to 1 working week longer.
