Inspections will not be conducted if fees have not been paid or the permit is not posted on the site.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I request a specific time for an Inspection?
We cannot schedule specific times with Inspectors however, if you prefer AM or PM we can include your time preference in our notes to the Inspectors and they will try their best to accommodate your request.
If I am not on site during the Inspection, will Inspectors leave their results for me to review?
Typically, they will not leave any information regarding the results of your inspection. You can call Garden City to check on the status of your inspection or you can contact the Inspectors directly to discuss your inspection results.
If my structure passed a final inspection, may I immediately occupy the structure?
It is unlawful to utilize a structure that has not received a Certificate of Occupancy. If the structure has passed a final inspection, it may not be occupied until all final inspections are approved and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
