The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.  The City Clerk is the keeper of the corporate seal of the City and is responsible for managing the official records of the City.  This includes maintaining and processing records of ordinances, resolutions and contracts passed by the Council, as well as coordination and codification of the City Code. 

 

The City Clerk is also responsible for performing a variety of administrative management, human resource and other duties supporting the Mayor, City Council and City employees.  Additional duties include attending and recording all City Council meetings, managing City business licensing processes, and providing customer service to elected officials, City staff, and the public.
